Samsung Galaxy S6 is a line of Android-based smartphones manufactured, released and marketed by Samsung Electronics.Succeeding the Samsung Galaxy S5, the S6 was not released as a singular model, but instead in two variations unveiled and marketed together—the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge—with the latter differentiated primarily by having a display that is wrapped along the sides of the device.

Samsung Galaxy S7 vs S6: Pricing is a little cheaper this time Back when the Galaxy S6 launched, Samsung’s newfound design chops came at a cost. Prices started from £599 for the entry-level. As per public information available: “The Samsung Galaxy S6 has an Internal Memory of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB, it does not have a Memory Card slot.”. Samsung may have taken the microSD card slot out of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, but it didn't remove the microUSB port. Luckily for us, both new Galaxy devices support USB On The Go (OTG), microSD card readers and USB thumb drives with microUSB connections. Locate the SIM Card tray. It is located below the Power button on the side of the standard S6 model. On Edge models, it is located on the top of the device. Use the eject tool included with your Galaxy S6 or a paper clip to gently push the small button on the SIM Card tray. The tray will eject and allow you to remove the SIM Card. It seems that in terms of hardware, the new terminal will be identical to Samsung Galaxy S6. It’s codenamed MS-G890A and is built around a Quad HD Super AMOLED Plus panel with a diagonal of 5.1 inches. It is built around the same Exnynos 7420 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, according to Sammobile.

If you’ve run out of space on your Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge – or any other phone that annoyingly lacks a microSD memory card slot – don’t get stressed and delete those hilarious photos of your mate Kev pretend-humping a traffic cone after too many tequilas. Here’s how to add extra memory with simple drives and accessories.

Add a microSD memory card using the Incipio offGRID case

Incipio’s clever little offGRID battery case for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge doesn’t just add extra juice to your Galaxy smartphone. A flick of a switch also gives you microSD support, so all you need to do is slot your memory card into the case and you can copy files back and forth from your mobile. The case supports cards of up to 128GB in size.

Alternatively, add a microSD memory card using an OTG/SD card reader

You can also buy memory card readers that slot into your phone’s micro USB slot, adapting them into a microSD card slot. One such example is the iKross Multi-Function Micro-USB to OTG/SD Memory Card Reader Adapter, which can be snagged on Amazon for just £8. Again, just add a microSD memory card and you’re good to go. It’s a bit bulkier and more cumbersome than the Incipio case, but it does the job.

Wirelessly transmit your media with Samsung’s Wireless Mobile Media Streaming Device

If you’ve got a ton of HD movies that you want to take away on holiday, a better solution will be a hard disk that offers wireless streaming to your mobile device. Samsung offers its own in the form of the Wireless Mobile Media Streaming Device, which can be bought for £130 from Amazon.

It’s a 1.5TB drive, which gives you enough space for roughly five hundred Blu-ray movies, and it supports up to five mobile devices at once so the whole family can stream what they want to their phones or tablets. There’s even a USB charging port to power up your Galaxy S6 if it’s running low.
